Be sure to extend your gutter downspouts at least 10' away from your foundation if they are not tied into a storm draintile system leading to the street. Be sure the water doesn't flow back toward your foundation afterwards. Water which is allowed to pool outside of your foundation will soak into the ground, swell the soil, possibly crack your walls and create conditions leading to a wet basement. From there it gets expensive!
